    Where are you from Alex, and what did you do for a living before you came to Costa Rica?  I’m originally from Canada, though I have spent the last twenty years in London UK, pursuing a career in corporate finance and real estate private equity.

    Why Costa Rica? I grew tired of the corporate life in London and, having lived in only cold climates, decided my next chapter should involve the beach.

    When and why did you start ACME Storage?  The business has been in operation since the pandemic. Seeing firsthand how quickly Guanacaste is developing, I noticed a shortage of quality storage operations to meet this housing growth. Already familiar with the storage model from past experience, Acme felt like the next logical investment for my Costa Rica deal pipeline.

    What is challenging about the business?  The level of upfront fixed cost can be daunting if the business doesn’t reach the levels of occupancy needed to support it.

    Why is the business successful?  Quality product, good location, friendly and efficient customer service.

    Future plans?  Potential expansion of additional units and addition of covered parking spaces.
